BEING ALONE
If you're going through a hard time alone, I hope this finds you and helps you through this period in your life. I would like to tell you about my experience of being alone without friends or family. The thing that really helped me get through this period was a quote I once heard which says "Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it". You can choose to use this time to feel sorry for yourself, be sad and not do anything or you can use this time to better yourself.
The time I spent being alone, I realized that it was the time in my life that I made the most improvement. Being alone is an opportunity to improve yourself in every area of you life without anyone bothering you. Your number one asset is time and now you have a lot of it. You can choose to use that time to better yourself; take care of your body, excerise, eat the right food, mediate, listening to audio books.
While you are doing this, you are bettering yourself and taking yourself to a higher understanding of life for both yourself and other people. Once you've taken yourself to that next level in life, your next friends and partner will appreciate you better. You'll end up with better relationships with those around you. But if you jump around from friendship to friendship and partner to partner, you'll just end up getting the same thing or the same results because you haven't done or learnt anything different. You see if you think the same way, do the same things, you'll end up getting the same results. If you want something different, you have to do something different.
So if you are alone... Congratulations. This is the time you can become the best version of yourself. You have time to do all the things you've always wanted to do and you have time to try new things. Think of yourself as another person that you can love. All that love that you want to give to somebody else, you can now give to yourself. You can take yourself on dates. You can surprise yourself by trying completely new things that you never thought you would have done. And you might find that you like it.
Another quote that really helped me was "if you can make friends with yourself, you'll never be lonely". That quote really stuck with me because I ended up becoming my best friend and I enjoy being alone. I hope you can find that within yourself, the ability to enjoy being alone and enjoying your own company because if you don't enjoy your own company, how do you expect other people to enjoy your company?
I hope this can help you or somebody that you love.
